In The Studio #2

Busy in the studio with the construction of the costume for the Invercargill Musical Theatre Company’s production of “Chitty Chitty Bang Bang Jnr”.
I am having so much fun with seeing these pieces come together for The Baroness, and look forward to seeing it ‘alive’ on actress Kate on stage.

Below:
The basic shape of the dress is done (minus the sleeves), so I thought I’d play with some flower placement. I had to make many more as I didn’t have enough to start with. The pins along the bottom show the new length, I thought it would look better if the hem is shorter and show more of the underskirt (the polka dot one).

The finished red and polka dotted underskirt.

Making the flounces for the sleeves, and on the left is a sleeve.
